EMCA is a job-oriented study program that combines business/marketing studies with consumer legal, social and economic studies. The focus of the Master will be on Community aspects and on the different facets of consumer issues in order to allow students to acquire the skills needed to work for a wide range of employers.

EMCA surpasses existing postgraduate educational offers in different ways:

  • The range of courses the Masters makes available simply isn't available at any single university.
  • Enabling students to train in consumer issues with some of the best European specialists in this field (Consortium professors and "Guest lecturers" from third institutions).
  • Enabling students to compare and contrast different approaches to Consumer issues research.
  • Enabling students to get a broad view of Consumer Issues in different European countries (note that the consortium is composed of countries from northern, southern, western and eastern Europe with a view to encouraging the integration of and acquaintance with their different cultures).
  • Providing students with broader educational opportunities than are offered by national masters programs in the field.
  • Allowing students to gather expertise on different working strategies, providing them with two tutors from two different institutions of the consortium.
  • Defining a coordinated Consumer program agreed by all partners of the consortium that will contribute to strengthen the focus on the Community dimension of consumer issues.
